Over forty. Yes, now that I am cresting over the top of the hill and heading down the back half, and as I reflect on the life I've had so far, I have to say that I am now closer to the proverbial "there" than I ever have been before. What is "there", you ask? I'm sure it's different for everyone even though we all probably share a basic idea of what it is. For me, "there" is the place I want to end up--emotionally, physically, intellectually, socially, personally. I cannot say that I have reached my ultimate goals in those areas, but after forty years of living and breathing, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
I am a busy person. I am a mom. I'm a wife. I'm a teacher. I'm the person in my house that does most of the cooking, cleaning, laundry, and entertaining. I do my best to make life work in our home, and I'm getting better at it every day. I'm not an expert on anything (except maybe analyzing literature or diagramming sentences), but I have and continue to dabble in many areas. I enjoy reading, writing, cooking, eating, music, shopping, entertaining, and many other things. Blogging is a new interest of mine, and I hope to use this new tool to share my experiences and advice with you.
Thank you for taking an interest and visiting my page. I truly hope that what I share is entertaining and useful. Feel free to comment, make suggestions, and ask questions. I will do my best to stay up-to-date and add topics that I believe are relevant to other moms, wives, teachers, and others on their journey through the politics of getting to their own proverbial "there."
